FA Legal Point is the professional legal practice of Advocate Fahad Soomro, Advocate High Court, Islamabad, Pakistan.
This Consultation & Appointment Policy governs the scheduling, conduct, cancellation, rescheduling, and payment of consultations provided through FA Legal Point.
Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to establish clear guidelines regarding consultations and appointments to ensure efficient professional services and effective management of client engagements.
Consultation Services
Consultations may be provided for, but are not limited to:
- Family Law Matters
- Criminal Law Matters
- Civil Litigation
- Rent Matters
- Constitutional Petitions
- Contract Drafting and Review
- Corporate and Commercial Advisory
- Consumer Protection Matters
- Cybercrime & PECA Matters
- General Legal Guidance and Advisory Services
Consultation Timings
Regular consultation hours are as follows:
Consultations outside regular hours may be accommodated at the sole discretion of Advocate Fahad Soomro and may be subject to additional charges.
Appointment Booking
Appointments may be requested through:
- Telephone
- Website Contact Form
- Online Appointment System (when implemented)
Submission of an appointment request does not guarantee confirmation of an appointment.
Appointments shall only be deemed confirmed upon express confirmation by FA Legal Point.
Consultation Fee
The consultation fee may be revised from time to time without prior notice.
Any revised fee shall apply only to future consultations.
Duration of Consultation
The standard duration of a consultation is:
Additional time may be provided subject to availability and may attract additional charges.
Documents and Information
Clients are encouraged to provide relevant documents and factual information prior to the consultation to facilitate meaningful legal advice.
Failure to provide complete or accurate information may affect the quality and scope of legal guidance provided.
No Advocate-Client Relationship
Scheduling, booking, attending, or paying for a consultation does not automatically create an Advocate-Client relationship.
An Advocate-Client relationship shall only arise upon:
- Formal acceptance of engagement;
- Completion of any necessary conflict-of-interest checks;
- Agreement on professional terms;
- Compliance with applicable legal and ethical requirements.
FA Legal Point reserves the right to decline representation in any matter.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Clients may request cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment by providing reasonable prior notice.
Where possible, cancellation or rescheduling requests should be communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled consultation time.
FA Legal Point reserves the right to reschedule consultations due to professional commitments, court appearances, emergencies, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
No-Show Policy
If a client fails to attend a scheduled consultation without prior notice, FA Legal Point reserves the right to:
- Decline future appointment requests;
- Require advance payment for future consultations; or
- Apply additional administrative conditions for future bookings.
Online and Remote Consultations
Where consultations are conducted through telephone, video conferencing, or other electronic means:
- Clients shall ensure a stable internet or telephone connection;
- Clients shall ensure privacy during the consultation;
- Recording of consultations without prior consent is prohibited;
- Technical interruptions beyond reasonable control shall not constitute professional negligence.
Additional terms may apply to online consultations.
Professional Conduct
Clients are expected to maintain respectful and professional conduct throughout all communications and consultations.
Abusive, threatening, offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate termination of the consultation and refusal of future services.
Confidentiality
Information disclosed during consultations shall be treated in accordance with applicable legal and professional obligations relating to confidentiality and legal professional privilege.
However, privilege and confidentiality protections shall apply subject to the establishment of a formal Advocate-Client relationship and applicable law.
Limitation of Consultation
Consultations are based upon the facts, documents, and information provided by the client at the time of consultation.
Legal opinions and advice may require modification if additional facts, evidence, documents, or legal developments subsequently arise.
Amendments
Advocate Fahad Soomro, practicing under the name FA Legal Point, reserves the right to amend, modify, update, or replace this Consultation & Appointment Policy at any time without prior notice.
Any revised version shall become effective upon publication.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to consultations, appointments, or this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts situated at Islamabad Capital Territory, Pakistan.
